The Rotary Club of Burlington is selling tickets to its annual Friday Night at the Fights fund-raiser, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. March 22 at the Elks Lodge on Webb Brook Road. The event will feature 10 three-round amateur boxing matches involving fighters from the Lowell area. Tickets are $80, which includes a family-style dinner, door prizes, free T-shirts, and a raffle. Proceeds will benefit the club’s charitable activities, such as annual scholarships to graduating high students from Burlington for postsecondary education and the financial and volunteer support the group provides to the Burlington Community Food Pantry. The Rotary Club’s other community work includes sponsoring an Interact Club at the high school, in which students engage in civic work, an annual Valentine’s Day dance for senior citizens, and a program that provides a dictionary to each third-grade student in the Burlington public schools. Friday Night at the Fights is the group’s largest annual fund-raiser. To purchase a ticket, call 781-221-0111 or 781-858-5927, or go to www.burlingtonrotary.org . end of story marker
