The town election, scheduled for March 26, will feature only one contested race. Three candidates are vying for two seats on the Board of Selectmen. Incumbents Paul J. Salafia of South Main Street and Alex J. Vispoli of Alison Way will face off against challenger Larry Bruce of Chandler Road. Voters may cast their ballots between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Andover High School’s Collins Field House on Shawsheen Road. The deadline to register to vote in the town election is 8 p.m. Wednesday. The uncontested races feature several incumbents. Sheila M. Doherty of Juniper Road is seeking another one-year term as town moderator; Janice Burkholder of Arundel Street is seeking reelection to the Andover Housing Authority; and Paula M. Colby-Clements of Chestnut Street is seeking one of two open seats on the School Committee. Also seeking a three-year term on the School Committee is Barbara A. L’Italien, a former state representative. Randall L. Hanson of Pasho Street is seeking a three-year term on the Trustees of the Punchard Free School. end of story marker
