WILMINGTON, Mass. (AP) — State police say an Andover man has died after his car crossed the center line on a Wilmington road and collided head-on with an oncoming car.

Police said they don’t know why 47-year-old Roberto Leon’s car went into the opposite lane of traffic on Route 125 at about 8:35 p.m. Sunday.

Police said his sedan narrowly missed one car before colliding head-on with a sport utilty vehicle. A 43-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy in the SUV, both from Wilmington, had non-life threatening injuries.

Leon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said their investigation is continuing.end of story marker
