BOSTON (AP) — Gov. Deval Patrick will be the keynote speaker at the Massachusetts Bar Association’s annual dinner.
The May 9 dinner will also feature ‘‘Access to Justice’’ awards to honor attorneys for their efforts to provide legal services to the public.
Patrick, a graduate of Harvard Law School, began his legal career clerking for a federal judge and went on to become an attorney and business executive. In 1994, President Bill Clinton appointed Patrick as assistant attorney general for civil rights. He was elected as governor of Massachusetts in 2006 and re-elected to a second term in 2010.
