BOSTON (AP) — Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick says he’s glad the family of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev has found a burial location, but says he doesn’t know where that is.
Patrick said during his radio show Thursday on WGBH that he knows Tsarnaev’s body has been removed from a Worcester funeral home and has been buried at the family’s direction.
Patrick said he hopes attention can now return to the victims of the bombings.
Patrick called the weeklong focus Tsarnaev’s body ‘‘a circus.’’ He said the decision where to bury the body was a family matter and he’s glad the family finally exercised one of its options.
Patrick also said that law enforcement officials are trying to come up with security plans for other big outdoor events like the Fourth of July celebration on Boston’s Charles River Esplanade.
