Members of Holbrook’s representative Town Meeting voted May 1 to appropriate $40,000 to commission a school regionalization study. Regionalization has been controversial, but many officials believe the study is necessary for Holbrook to give a full accounting of its options to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. The town has applied to the agency for money to build a new school with the grades to be determined. Town Administrator William Phelan said the Permanent School Building Committee wants to get the study started right away and plans to issue a request for proposals as soon as possible.
