Georgetown teammates are home to play for Bay Sox

The Georgetown University teammates have returned home this summer to play for the New Bedford Bay Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League, a club managed by former Red Sox outfielder Rick Miller.

Venditti, a right fielder who starred at St. Sebastian’s School in Needham, led the Hoyas with seven homers and 36 RBIs as a junior. Pomeroy, a shortstop who played at St. John’s of Shrewsbury and then prepped at Phillips Andover Academy, hit .264 and showed some offensive pop with seven doubles.
