Salvatore Ciccarelli built his store from a farmstand in 1938. Seventy-five years later, customers are still coming to Tilly and Salvy’s, a landmark mom-and-pop store in Natick that has always been run by a Ciccarelli. Matilda and Salvatore are deceased; their sons Bob and Fran took over the store. A third brother, Richard, died when he was 28, but his son, Rick, is the boss now, having bought the business from Bob in 2009. Rick’s son, Ryan, 24, works at the store and is prepping to take over the business when his father retires.
