The Acton Memorial Library Foundation’s summertime “Film Masterpieces’’ series, featuring classic movies from the 1940s, begins at 7 p.m. July 16 with a showing of “Citizen Kane’’ at the library, 486 Main St. Other films in the weekly series of Tuesday night screenings are “Casablanca,’’ “Children of Paradise,’’ “The Bicycle Thief,’’ “The Third Man,’’ and “Late Spring.’’ A discussion will follow each film.
