Cohasset boy to speak to Congress

Finn Doherty of Cohasset has Type I diabetes, having been diagnosed at age 2. In July, the seventh- grader at Thayer Academy in Braintree will visit Washington, D.C., to urge members of Congress to continue supporting research aimed at reducing the burden of living with the disease, and someday finding a cure. “Type I diabetes is like a gigantic speed bump,” Finn said. “It slows you down but with the right attitude, you can always keep going.”
