Summertime is a great time for kids to explore their interest in theater – and the results are well worth seeing!

Take in youthful local talent this month by attending any of a number of performances by summer youth theater groups, including “Into the Woods” by the Lexington Youth Summer Theatre, “Spamalot” by Calliope Productions in Boylston, “Shrek,” “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying” and more from the Weston Drama Workshop, and productions that include “The Little Mermaid” and “The Drowsy Chaperone” from the Arlington Children’s Theatre.

Meanwhile, adults get into the act with “Peter Pan” staged by Steps Off Broadway in Bellingham and “Fiddler on the Roof” at Waltham’s Reagle Music Theatre.
