Children heading into grades 1 through 8 can take part in Medfield Youth Soccer’s summer pickup games, happening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. each Sunday through Sept. 1 at the Wheelock Elementary School fields on Elm Street. The weekly sessions are overseen by coaches, who group players by age and gender. The players then choose their own teams to play each other. There are no drills, coaching, or referees. The pickup program is aimed at giving local youths more opportunities to play soccer during the summer. More information is available at www.medfieldsoccer.org.
