All eyes may be on Tom Brady’s left knee at tonight’s Patriots preseason home opener, but those attending the game are reminded to also keep an eye on new security measures banning most bags from Gillette Stadium.
Coordinators of the new National Football League bag policy, making its Foxborough debut tonight, are confident that those attending the game will be well aware they can no longer bring backpacks or large purses. The policy was adopted in June.
Bags must be clear and must not exceed 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. Women’s clutches must not be larger than 7 inches by 4 inches by 2 inches, approximately the size of a hand. One-gallon clear freezer bags are also allowed.
