When deciding which community was the digital capital of Massachusetts the Internet giant Google did not go to Cambridge or Boston.
They chose Westborough, a town of about 18,000 just west of I-495.
Westborough was named the 2013 eCity of Massachusetts by Google on Aug. 14.
The award was presented to town manager Jim Malloy on Wednesday during an event held at a local restaurant, the South Street Diner. Congressman Jim McGovern also attended.
