Google chooses Westborough at the digital capital of Massachusetts

When deciding which community was the digital capital of Massachusetts the Internet giant Google did not go to Cambridge or Boston.

They chose Westborough, a town of about 18,000 just west of I-495.

Westborough was named the 2013 eCity of Massachusetts by Google on Aug. 14.

The award was presented to town manager Jim Malloy on Wednesday during an event held at a local restaurant, the South Street Diner. Congressman Jim McGovern also attended.
