A $250,000 grant from the state’s Green Communities program will be discussed on Monday at a meeting of the Board of Aldermen’s Health, Education, and Welfare Committee. In June, the state Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs awarded $3.7 million for clean energy projects in 20 communities. Melrose will use its grant to make the heating and ventilation system at Melrose High School more energy-efficient. The committee will meet at 7:30 p.m. in the aldermen’s chamber at City Hall. A full meeting of the board will start at 7:45 p.m.
