Eleven marching bands from Cape Cod to New Hampshire will be on the field at Weymouth High School on Saturday for the opening clash of the New England Scholastic Band Association’s competitive season. Weymouth’s Wildcat Marching Band will be among the competitors, after winning a skirmish with the school administration over whether it should continue this school year. Other participants include Stoughton High Schools’ Marching Black Knights, the Falmouth Clippers, the Bishop Feehan Shamrock Marching Band, and the Malden High Golden Tornadoes. The show begins at 1:30 p.m. and Weymouth is scheduled to perform at 3 p.m.
