While Governor Deval Patrick has repeatedly slammed shut the door to a presidential run, his daughter opened up the possibility of a future run during a recent panel discussion with her father in Washington, D.C.
“You have no idea how much trouble you’re making for me,” Patrick said on stage at a Lesbian Political Action Committee event with his daughter Katherine, as moderator Melissa Harris Perry pressed him Friday on whether he would run for the nation’s top office.
Patrick plugged his ears and howled, “No,” at the question and his daughter wagged a finger at the scattered applause from the audience, but mellowed her response when Harris asked her directly.
“Not right now, because he did promise us,” Katherine Patrick said.
