Braintree will offer a new flu vaccination that protects against more strains of the flu virus, says Marybeth McGrath, director for the Department of Municipal Licenses and Inspections. The quadrivalent flu vaccine offers coverage for four strains of the flu vs. the previous trivalent, which covers three. According to a release from the department, the most important thing is to get a flu shot to begin with. “CDC and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommend flu vaccination as the first and most important step in protecting against the flu,” the release said.
