Selectmen approve contracts for street work

Marblehead selectmen have approved two three-year contracts with Aggregate Industries Northeast of Saugus. The first contract calls for the town to pay $1.92 million for the furnishing, delivering, and application of bituminous concrete and asphalt cold planing on roadways. The second contract is for $487,500, and calls for Aggregate Industries to remove bituminous concrete from the town’s streets.
