Board seeks final say on fire station

The centerpiece of next week’s Special Town Meeting is a recommendation that the Board of Selectmen be given sole authority for the sale or lease of the former Central Fire Station property on Washington Street. Other major proposals include a call for spending $70,000 to replace the Crabtree waste-water pumping station, and allocating $45,000 to upgrade the town offices’ telephone system. The meeting will be convened at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 in Town Hall.
