State officials are holding a public hearing on the city’s proposed Central Waterfront Municipal Harbor Plan on Monday in Room 39 on the third floor of City Hall. The city recently submitted the draft plan to the state’s Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs, which will conduct the hearing with its Office of Coastal Zone Management. The plan provides a blueprint for Everett to pursue its goals of encouraging a mix of residential and business development along its Mystic and Malden rivers waterfronts, and greater opportunities for the public to access the waters for boating and other recreational uses. Public feedback provided at the hearing will be used by the state in evaluating whether to approve the plan. The public is also invited to submit written comments through Nov. 20. Copies of the plan are available at the Department of Planning and Community Development office in City Hall. The plan can also be viewed on the department’s page on the city’s website, www.ci.everett.ma.us
