The Board of Health will hold a public meeting on Monday to seek input from the community on proposed revisions to its rules and regulations. The board has been deliberating on updates for about two years, said vice chairman Robert B. Medeiros. “We haven’t done it in about 12 years,” he said of an update. “We got rid of some old stuff we couldn’t use anymore. We added a few dollars to the fees and we made some language stronger and some not as strong.” Examples of dropped rules include those pertaining to matters that have been taken over by the state, he said, while a tightened rule would be more explicit in requiring private wells to be tested every year.
