The City Council on Thursday will hold a public hearing on a special permit application by Centennial Crossing LLC to remove 10,000 cubic yards of material from a site at 4 First Ave. The company has proposed to construct a 40,000-square-foot commercial building at the site. In other business, the council will continue a hearing into a special permit request by Cove Outdoor Advertising LLC to construct a digital billboard at 200 Jubilee Drive, adjacent to Route 128 north. The council will also open a hearing into a special permit application by Norman Lee and James Gebo to renovate an existing commercial building at 98 Main St. into a 10-unit residential building. It will also open a hearing into a special permit request by J. Vozella and Family LLC to locate an Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt store at a strip mall at 79 Lynnfield St. In another hearing, Stonewood Tavern, at 139 Lynnfield St., wants to amend its entertainment license to offer expanded entertainment. The council will also hold a hearing on a zoning amendment that would permit a manager/caretaker residence to be included at a self-storage facility in the business regional zoning district, located mostly along routes 1, 114, and 128. The proposal was put forward to accommodate Bourbon Street Mini Storage of Peabody, which wants to add manager/caretaker quarters at its 3 Bourbon St. facility.
