The Planning Board on Monday will continue a public hearing into a special permit request from Bernard Jewelers, 1099 Main St., to remove a changeable letter sign and replace it with an electronic message board. Bernard recently acquired the building after previously leasing the space, according to Steven Sadwick, the town’s community development director. The board will also continue a hearing into a special permit application from Calder LLC to construct a single-family home on a vacant lot at 2196 Main St. A single-family home previously stood on the 11,914-square-foot lot until it was demolished some years ago, Sadwick said.
