The Board of Selectmen voted Monday to accept a donation of 0.27 acres of conservation land on Plymouth Avenue. Conservation agent Jay Wennemer said the property abuts other conservation land, and that protected land in the area now totals about 6
acres. The parcel is near the airport runway and is wetland, he said. The Conservation Commission had previously evaluated the offer by owner John Anevski and voted to recommend that selectmen approve the donation. The only downside of accepting such a donation, Wennemer said in an interview, is that the land comes off the tax rolls, but he said the taxes on such a property would be “pretty small.”
