Police focus turns toward victim’s mother in Lunenburg racist graffiti case

The mother of the former Lunenburg High football player whose home was spray-painted last month with racist graffiti is now the target of the investigation into the incident, according to court records and police.

Andrea Brazier was questioned by Lunenburg police and an FBI agent on Nov. 25, according to a search warrant affidavit filed in Fitchburg District Court. During that interview, the FBI agent suggested to Brazier that Brazier was pushing for the investigation to end because she was the one who had scrawled the graffiti, the affidavit said.

“Andrea stated ‘OK,’ ” according to the affidavit filed by Lunenburg Police Detective Jeffrey Thibodeau. “Andrea just kept answering ‘OK’ and that she wanted everything to end and that we did not understand.”
