Endicott College dedicates new school after local business leader

Endicott College recently dedicated its new school of business, naming it the Curtis L. Gerrish School of Business in honor of the founder and chief executive officer of Rochester Electronics in Newburyport. Rochester Electronics, privately held and managed, owns and operates a campus of buildings in Newburyport’s business and industrial park with more than 300,000 square feet of office, test, manufacturing, and warehouse space. The company manufactures semiconductors. Gerrish, whose two granddaughters attend Endicott, founded the company in 1981 after 20 years at Motorola. Rochester Electronics regularly accepts interns from the Beverly college.
