An online survey is asking residents to weigh in on sustainability issues. The survey, cosponsored by Transition Ashland and the town’s Sustainability Committee, asks residents how they use water and how they heat and cool their homes, whether they use a programmable thermostat or have conducted a home energy audit, and other questions aimed at assessing sustainability initiatives. Residents who take the survey will be eligible to win a high-efficiency toilet or a thermostat that can be controlled through Wi-Fi. To take the survey, visit
