State and Hingham police investigate bomb threat at Hingham business; no devices found

After a Hingham business received a bomb threat over the telephone this afternoon, a search by local and State Police yielded no devices, authorities said.

At about 2:45 p.m., emergency crews were cleared from Russelectric at 99 Industrial Park Ave., Hingham police said.

The business received the threat at noontime, said Hingham Police Sergeant Steven Dearth.

Hingham police evacuated and searched the building, Dearth said. State Police sent their bomb squad unit to assist, Trooper Todd Nolan said.

Hingham police were assisted by the State Police K-9 unit for a second search of the building, Dearth said.

No one was injured. The incident is under investigation, Hingham police said.
