An overnight on-street parking ban started Dec. 1 and will remain in effect through April 1 to allow for clearing of snow, Bridgewater Highway Superintendent Paul Hurley said in an interview. Vehicles may be parked legally on the street until 2 a.m., but between 2 and 5 a.m., they are subject to ticketing, he said. According to a press release from Town Manager Michael Dutton’s office, vehicles parked on the street or sidewalk during snow plowing will be towed at the owner’s expense, regardless of the time of day. It is illegal to place snow from private property onto a road or sidewalk, or to pump liquid onto a public way from November through April.
