Stroll along the Town Wharf and you may notice a towering stack of lobster traps shaped like a Christmas tree. It’s decorated with buoys and a there’s a red lobster on the top, where a star would normally be. The Plymouth Lobstermen’s Association put up this “tree” earlier this month. “This is a big thing for us this year,” said Bob Turner, a 77-year-old Plymouth resident and longtime member of the Plymouth Lobstermen’s Association. “It gives the wharf a good look and makes it a little more Christmas-y.” Turner said the tree will stay up through the holidays, and it just might become an annual tradition. “It’s good for the tourists,” said Turner, who noted that it has become the backdrop for many photographs. “It’s nice this time of year.” Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
