A Fitchburg mother and her boyfriend have been arrested in connection with the disappearance and potential death of her 5-year-old son, authorities said.
Elsa Oliver, 28, and her boyfriend Alberto L. Sierra, 22, are facing multiple charges in connection to the disappearance of Oliver’s son, Jeremiah Oliver, Worcester District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. said.
“We are treating this as a potential homicide,” Early said Monday.
Sierra was charged with attacking Jeremiah and one of his young siblings with a knife, Early said. Oliver was charged as an accessory after the fact to the attacks and two counts of reckless endangerment of a child, he said.
Jeremiah was last seen by family members on Sept. 14. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
