The King Philip Regional School District has launched a campaign to raise $950,000 to install a synthetic turf field at the high school. The King Philip Warrior Turf Field Steering Committee hopes to meet its fund-raising goal by June in order to have the field ready for next fall. Officials anticipate saving $43,500 each year in maintenance costs by replacing the school’s grass field with the synthetic surface.
