Carlisle’s Medical Marijuana Study Committee recently discussed recommendations from the Planning Board regarding a proposed bylaw amendment that will set guidelines for marijuana dispensaries and cultivation sites in town. The Planning Board’s list includes having a bylaw specific to marijuana growing and dispensing; giving the board the authority to grant permits; and requiring applicants to locate their facilities in a business district outside the center of town. The study committee will seek further input from the Board of Health and Zoning Board of Appeals before drafting a proposal for presentation to the Planning Board and Board of Selectmen.
