Recreation officials are offering a variety of senior-friendly exercise classes, including an indoor walking club that meets at Needham High School from 3 to 4 p.m. every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through May 1. The fee is $30. The department also offers a weekly Hatha yoga class for adults age 50 and up that starts Monday and runs through March 24; the class meets at 10 a.m. at Needham Free Public Library, and costs $25. There are also various low-impact fitness classes that run until March for $20 to $25 per class. There will be cardio classes at 9 a.m. Mondays at the library; aerobics Wednesdays at 9:15 a.m. at 300 Hillside Ave.; and a toning and stretching class on Fridays at 10:30 a.m., also at 300 Hillside Ave. For more information, visit www.needhamma.gov; the winter/spring brochure is on the Park and Recreation page under Programs/Special Events.
