Transit Police arrest Dorchester man on charges he grabbed disabled man’s cane and hit him with it

MBTA Transit Police today said they arrested a 20-year-old Dorchester man and charged him with grabbing a disabled man’s cane Saturday night and then hitting the man in the chest with it.

Miquel Velasquez is charged with unarmed robbery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a disabled person. He is scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at South Boston Municipal Court, Transit Police said.
