State troopers find 2,400 oxycodone pills after traffic stop on I-84 in Sturbridge

State troopers found 2,400 oxycodone pills hidden inside an empty Cheetos container during a search of a car stopped on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge this weekend, State Police said.

Trooper Scott Driscoll stopped a blue Dodge Caravan at 6:20 p.m. Saturday for traffic violations. Driscoll, with assistance from Trooper Nick D’Angelo, subsequently searched the vehicle and discovered multiple bags of what police allege was oxycodone.

The driver, Nicholos Guiod, 29, and passenger Jacki Lemerich, 25, both of Maine, were arrested. They were arraigned in Dudley District Court on multiple charges, including drug trafficking and conspiracy to volate drug laws.

Guiod was additionally charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, and unsafe lane change.
