A patient in the behavioral health unit at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen stabbed three hospital staff members with a pair of scissors late Wednesday afternoon, authorities said. Yan Carlos Nunez, 20, of Lawrence was arrested on three counts of assault and battery with a deadly weapon and assault with intent to murder. Methuen police received a call at 4:27 p.m. reporting that a patient had stabbed three people within a locked unit. The victims, two women and a man, received superficial stab wounds and will make a full recovery, said a hospital spokeswoman. Nunez is being held under police guard, and there was no threat posed to the hospital, police said.
