It appears likely that Calm Golf Inc. will continue running the town’s Strawberry Valley Golf Course, as it was the only firm to respond to a request for proposals, Town Manager Richard LaFond said in an interview. Johnson Golf Management requested an RFP package, but did not return it, said LaFond. He said the matter will go before the Board of Selectmen on Monday. The proposed contract calls for Calm Golf to run the golf course and food and retail concessions and return $47,500 to the town for this year and $48,500 for 2015. If the town opts to renew the contract the next three years, Calm would pay $50,000 in 2016 and 2017, and $51,500 in 2018, said LaFond in an e-mail. Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
