A cracking rock face in West Roxbury is causing “enormous boulders” to fall on the street below, State Police said.
The Massachusetts State Police received calls last night that rocks were falling on a section of Centre Street near Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Hospital , said Lieutenant Dan Richard, a State Police spokesman.
When troopers arrived, they found that heavy equipment would be necessary to remove the boulders. The Department of Conservation and Recreation maintains that area and will clean up the debris, said Richard.
The rocks are not blocking the road, just the sidewalk, said Richard. No injuries were reported. Jacqueline Tempera can be reached at email@example.com. Follow her on twitter @jacktemp
