80-year-old reunited with his family after going missing in Hingham

An 80-year-old Hingham man was reunited with his family after he went missing briefly Wednesday morning, police said. William Iakonelli wandered away from his home on Shipyard Drive at about 9 a.m. His at-home nurse called the police and asked them to search for him. Hingham police and firefighters, Weymouth police, and staff from Bridges by EPOCH, a Hingham assisted-living center that specializes in memory loss, searched for Iakonelli, who has Alzheimer’s disease, said Sergeant Steven Dearth of the Hingham police.
