Open burning season has begun, and will continue through May 1. The required permit can obtained by e-mailing the Fire Department at firstname.lastname@example.org. The e-mail should have the home address in the subject line, and provide the applicant’s full name, address and phone number. Requests are typically processed within 48 hours, and permits will be sent by e-mail. Permits are valid for any day, but the permit holder must call 508-384-6931 between 9 and 11 a.m. on the day they wish to burn to find out whether conditions are suitable.
