Uxbridge man out for a walk is struck, killed by tractor-trailer

An Uxbridge man was killed Sunday when a tractor-trailer hit him on Balm of Life Spring Road, Worcester County prosecutors said.

Robert Orcutt, 55, who lived in a nearby group home for the mentally challenged, went for a walk around 6 p.m. An hour later, the truck crashed into him. The area was dimly lit, and there was no sidewalk, prosecutors said.
