Two Dunkin’ Donuts stores in two South Shore communities were robbed within an eight-hour period Thursday night and this morning.
A store in Quincy was robbed by two men, while a store in Bridgewater was robbed by a woman, police said.
Quincy police received reports of a robbery at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Hancock Street at 3:30 a.m. today, police said. One of the two alleged robbers was carrying a black 9mm gun.
After the robbery, the two suspects fled in a white Ford Escort with plates reading 25BK85.
The suspects were described by police as two men dressed in all black and wearing ski masks.
Quincy police urged anyone with information to call detectives at 617-479-1212.
Eight hours earlier, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Bridgewater police said, a woman robbed a Dunkin’ Donuts on Bedford Street in that town. The suspect displayed a handgun and demanded money, police said.
After being handed the money, the suspect ran out the front door and drove north on Bedford Street in a small white car, police said.
The suspect was described as an 18- to 20-year-old woman, about 5 feet tall and weighing betwen 100 and 120 pounds. During the robbery, she wore a black baseball hat, black sweatshirt, and blue jeans, police said.
