A 19-year-old Deerfield man is facing charges in a car crash that took the life of an 83-year-old Montague woman. The Recorder of Greenfield reported that Aaron Stark was released on personal recognizance after pleading not guilty Thursday to vehicular homicide by negligent operation, manslaughter, and being a minor in possession of alcohol in the November crash. Police said Stark’s vehicle collided head-on with a car driven by Celia Allen. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said it appears that Stark’s car crossed the center line. Stark is ordered not to operate any motor vehicle, and to remain alcohol free.
