A teenager died in a skiing accident this morning in Warren, Vt. after she lost control and hit a trail sign at Sugarbush ski resort, according to Vermont State Police.
The 19-year-old who has not yet been identified, was skiing with family and friends around 11 a.m. when she lost control at a trail intersection on Mount Ellen, said police in a statement.
The mountain’s ski patrol and emergency personnel rushed to the area and provided medical assistance until the victim was brought to Central Vermont Hospital in Berlin, said police. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Sugarbush Ski Resort could not be reached for comment.
