Teen who died in Sugarbush ski accident identified as University of Vermont student from Rhode Island

The teenager who died Saturday morning at the Sugarbush ski resort in Warren, Vt. has been identified by police as Kendra Bowers, a student at University of Vermont.

Bowers, 19, who was from Newport, R.I., was skiing with family and friends around 11 a.m. on the Lower Rim Run Trail when she lost control and struck a trail sign, according to a police statement.
