The Yentile Farm Development Committee is seeking the community’s input regarding the design of the multipurpose recreational area being developed by the town on the Yentile Farm property on Cross Street, between routes 129 and 38. Before yesterday’s storm hit, Waterfield Design was scheduled to hold the first in a series of interactive workshops last night fcused on the concept and schematic design phase of the project, giving residents an opportunity to explore the results of last year’s community survey regarding the 20.3-acre site and express their vision for the property. That meeting will be rescheduled. More than 1,000 surveys were completed, with two-thirds of respondents indicating the property should be used for a combination of athletic and recreational fields. Respondents also said the most critical factor in determining the best use for the property should be the creation of more recreational activities for people of all ages, such as walking and jogging trails and playground and picnic areas.
