A state trooper was injured and taken to Beverly Hospital by ambulance Wednesday afternoon after a car struck his cruiser in front of the Danvers State Police barracks on Maple Street, State Police said. The trooper was responding to a call just after 1 p.m. with his lights and siren on when a car ran through an intersection and hit the passenger side of his vehicle, Trooper Thomas Murphy said. The trooper was treated for minor injuries at the hospital and was later released. His name was not released
. The accident is under investigation, Murphy said.
